Anthony J. Colonnello II

Anthony was born in Staten Island on October 20, 1933. The third of four brothers, he spent his childhood growing up on LaForge Street in Port Richmond. His family later built and moved into their home in Great Kills, where their house still remains.

Anthony enlisted in the US Navy in the 1950's, where he served for 8 years and was a Seaman.

After leaving the Navy, Anthony became a dance instructor, where he met his wife and swept her off her feet. They had four children together: Michael, Anthony, Barbara and Cynthia.

Anthony went on to open his own shoe store in Great Kills, where he was located for many years. After closing the store, Anthony pursued an accounting degree at Staten Island Community College and became a Certified Public Accountant. He had spent his career working for the US Aviation until retirement. Anthony also owned and operated AMC Transportation, transporting passengers to and from Manhattan daily.

Anthony was a family man who loved music, dancing, playing paddle-ball, traveling, movies, dining out, spending time with his children and grandchildren, and loved eating Breyers Ice Cream!

After retirement, Anthony spent the remainder of his years between Eltingville and Ft. Lauderdale, Florida. He passed away on April 12, 2008.
