Edward J. Webb

U.S. Army
1967-1969

Edward Joseph Webb, born 1947 to Irish American parents, spent his summers at the family bungalow in Ocean Breeze, fishing, crabbing and swimming on the local beaches. He had two brothers, Jimmy and Frankie.

Eddie grew up in Bay Ridge Brooklyn, where he attended St. Patrick’s School and later graduated from St. Francis Preparatory High School. Eddie was drafted into the Army in 1967, served in Korea in the Military
Police, often facing dangerous circumstances and was Honorably Discharged in 1969.

Eddie worked as a Supreme Court Officer and later as a Supreme Court Clerk in Brooklyn’s Supreme Court. He married his wife, Linda, in 1980, bought a home on Staten Island where he raised two sons, Jesse and Ryan and later had three grandsons: Nolan, Logan and Harrison.

Eddie loved working on his lawns and gardens, enjoyed golf, running and visiting with his grandsons. He enjoyed raking leaves, shoveling snow and chatting with neighbors, lending a helping hand when needed.

He stood 6’4”, had blue eyes and a full head of ’silver’ hair.

Eddie is our hero and is deeply missed. He passed away on October 3, 2016. He is survived by his wife, 2 sons, 3 grandsons and his younger brother. He had many friends.
