Frank Droughn, Jr.

Frank Droughn Jr was born January 25, 1947 in the old Staten Island hospital, to Frank and Carrie Droughn. He graduated from McKee High School in 1964.

He joined the U.S. Army in 1966. He had two tours to Vietnam. He served until 1968 and then joined the National Guard. He received 2 medals from the service– 50 years after he'd left.

In 1968, Frank married Diedre Codrington and had four children Frankie, Donzaleigh, Danita and Douglas.

Frank joined the FDNY in 1974. He started out in Manhattan at Engine 7 on Duane Street. He was a firefighter for 20 years, retiring in 1994. He belonged to the FDNY Vulcan Society.

He enjoys fishing.
